Chery is already active in several European countries with its passenger car brands, Omoda and Jaecoo, having grown its presence in Spain, Italy, Hungary, and the UK over the last few years. The manufacturer is now turning its attention to the commercial sector, with a specific focus on electric vans and transporters, such as the Karry-EX7.

The new headquarters will not function as a production plant—manufacturing will remain in China—but will instead act as a strategic engineering and development center. The goal is to tailor Chery’s products and technologies to meet specific European regulatory standards and customer requirements. The locally based teams will lead market research, vehicle localization, and innovation efforts designed to capture the growing demand for electric logistics solutions in the region.
