IAA Experience

At IAA TRANSPORTATION from September 17 to 22, 2024, in Hannover, we focus on the experience, experimentation, and interaction with the latest innovations as part of the IAA Experience.

As an exhibitor, seize the opportunity to not only showcase your latest products, solutions, and use cases in the field of transport, logistics, commercial vehicles, and buses but also allow visitors to test them on-site. In 2022, IAA Experience formats received high acclaim from the majority of the visitors. We asked the visitors about IAA Test Drives, and two-thirds of the people we asked rated them with a top mark, for instance.

IAA Experience Formats

In 2024, IAA Experience, as part of IAA TRANSPORTATION from September 17 to 22, 2024, comprises the following sub-formats:

As part of this year's IAA Experience, the latest trends in commercial vehicles, logistics, and transportation are not only meant to be visible but also experienced up close with the latest vehicle innovations.

With the IAA Test Drives, we offer exhibitors the opportunity to provide guided test drives with interested customers in the latest emission-free light and heavy commercial vehicles of all vehicle classes on the exhibition grounds or on public roads – whether it's a prototype or a production model.

There are two different route options available for this purpose:

1. An approximately 2 km-long, secured test track in the eastern part of the exhibition grounds. Prototypes can also participate here. (Prerequisite is documented insurance coverage)

2. Public roads for test drives of production vehicles with street legal status. These vehicles can exit the exhibition grounds through Gate South 1 West. As an exhibitor, you have the freedom to decide on the length and duration of each ride.

Whether it's an autonomous people mover, city bus, or coach – our goal is to encompass the entire spectrum of the industry and serve as a platform for the presentation and demonstration of exciting, forward-looking innovations in passenger transportation.

This approach explicitly includes you, as exhibitors from the supply chain as well as from the fields of vehicle technology, infrastructure, charging technology, and digital services. We invite you to showcase your latest developments as part of IAA TRANSPORTATION.

For this, we offer Test Drives for your city buses and coaches on public roads. The buses will start at the designated areas in vicinity of the Bus Area.

An absolute highlight is also the Bus Stop. Here, the IAA visitor bus shuttle starts and terminates, transporting guests between multiple stops across the exhibition grounds from A to B.

You can find more information about the exhibition areas of the Bus Area here.

From E-Vans and delivery robots to parcel drones and solutions/concepts in the areas of the Internet of Things or SaaS platforms - if you want to showcase, how in future, packages will land emission-free at the doorstep in the future, the Last Mile Area at IAA is the perfect place for you.

As an exhibitor in the IAA Last Mile Area, engage in the dialogue about urban distribution, innovations, and technical challenges.

For logistics companies and suppliers, IAA Transportation provides the ideal stage with the specially prepared IAA Last Mile Area on the exhibition grounds to present your innovations and trends on the path to efficient and climate-neutral logistics.

IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 focuses not only on trucks, vans, buses, and trailers but also places cargo bikes in the spotlight with a completely revamped Cargo Bike Course.

Showcase your latest cargo bikes on the IAA Cargo Bike Course and provide IAA visitors with the opportunity to get up close and personal with your models and test them extensively. The winding course allows for thorough testing of the transport pedelecs, simulating real conditions with curb simulations, inclines, declines, gravel paths, smooth and uneven surfaces, acceleration zones, and speed bumps.

Moreover, your experts can share valuable tips with IAA visitors before they embark on their ride.
