IAA TRANSPORTATION will take place from September 15 to September 20, 2026 at the exhibition grounds in the city of Hanover. On the Press Day (September 14, 2026), the exhibition grounds will be open to accredited members of the press.

During the event, opening hours for visitors are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. On Sunday, shortened hours apply: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

IAA Commercial Vehicles expanded its concept and rebranded as IAA TRANSPORTATION in 2022, establishing itself as the leading international platform for logistics, commercial vehicles, buses, and the transportation sector.

Under the new motto “WE DELIVER,” IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 represents the shared goal of advancing climate neutrality in logistics and transport through innovation, digitalization, and smart partnerships.

IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 provides space for ideas, inspiration, and dialogue on sustainable mobility, digitalization, energy, and infrastructure—demonstrating how the transformation toward sustainability can become reality through the intelligent and integrated use of innovative technologies across the entire supply chain.

IAA TRANSPORTATION will take place from September 15 to 20, 2026 at the exhibition grounds of Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover.

Press Day will take place on September 14, 2026.

Here you will find the hall plan for this year’s IAA, including information on all entrances. Bag checks are carried out at every entrance.

According to information from the Lower Saxony state government, the exhibition grounds are a weapons‑prohibited zone. Knives or sharp, dangerous objects may not be brought onto the premises.

Luggage service and pre-check-in are available at Entrance West 1. The counters are open daily from September 14 to 20, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

According to the House and Grounds Rules, animals of any kind are not allowed on the exhibition grounds. Exceptions may be made for assistance dogs, such as guide dogs or service dogs, provided they wear a muzzle and valid documentation can be presented.

Some of the paid parking spaces outside the trade fair center Messe München are reserved as special parking spots for visitors with mobility impairments. These designated spots are located close to the open entrances of the trade fair and are clearly marked during trade fairs and exhibitions.

Please present your disability ID to the on-site parking staff so you can be directed to the appropriate area.

If a companion is registered in your disability ID, please send your request for a complimentary ticket by email to [email protected]. For this, we also require the transaction number on your invoice or the registration code on your ticket, as well as a copy of your disability ID.

Wheelchairs are available in limited numbers at the first aid station at Entrance NORTH 1 and from the fleet management office.

The following charging points for electric vehicles with alternating current (11 kW, Type 2 socket) are available in the parking areas at the trade fair center:

  • Nord 4 (12 charging stations), West 34 (14 charging stations)
  • West 44 (10 charging stations), South 32 (tbd)
  • West 40/41 (10 charging stations)

High Power Charging:

  • ARAL gas station on Messeschnellweg West (4 x 300 kW) and Hotel Kronsberg on Messeschnellweg (4 x 150 kW)

Near the trade fair center:

  • Karlsruher Straße near McDonald’s (2 x CCS at 150 kW)
  • Shell gas station (4 x CCS – total 360 kW)
  • EDEKA on Kronsbergstraße (2 x Type 2 at 22 kW)

You can withdraw cash using Eurocard, Mastercard, VISA, and EC card at the following locations:

  • Entrance North 1
  • Information Center (IC)
  • Hall 13 (west side)
  • Hall 21

Tickets can be purchased in the ticket shop from mid-April.

Starting from the ticket shop homepage, please click on the "Redeem voucher / Register your ticket" tile. A free field will appear in which you can enter the code and personalize your ticket. You will then receive your valid ticket.

The following tickets can be purchased digitally in the ticket shop at iaa-transportation.com and at the cash desks on site:

  • A day ticket weekday costs €28.00 online and €32.00 on site.
  • A full-event ticket from September 15 to 20 costs €74.00 online and €85.00 on site.
  • An afternoon ticket from 1:00 pm costs €13.00 online and €15.00 on site.
  • The exclusive ticket on the press day on September 14 from 12:00 p.m. costs €69.00 online and €79.00 on site.
  • A day ticket reduced rate* costs 9.00 €.
  • A day ticket weekend costs 10.00 €.
  • A family adventure pass** costs €20.00.

* The reduced day ticket is valid for pupils, students, apprentices, voluntary military service (Freiwilliger Wehrdienst), the federal voluntary service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst), the voluntary services “FÖJ” and “FSJ” and for people with disabilities upon presentation of appropriate proof. If the severely handicapped ID card of a person with a disability contains the mark “B”, the accompanying person receives free entry. Please submit a copy of the severely handicapped ID card after purchasing the reduced ticket and request the complimentary ticket by email at: [email protected]

Children under the age of 6 can enter the IAA TRANSPORTATION free of charge when accompanied by an adult. They do not need a ticket.

** The family adventure pass entitles a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children to one-time admission on September 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on September 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Children under 6 years of age may enter IAA TRANSPORTATION free of charge when accompanied by an adult and do not require a ticket. Children aged 6 and above must purchase a ticket.

The following tickets can only be purchased at the cash desks on site:

  • A day ticket school class*** costs per person 5.00 €.
  • A driver ticket truck & bus**** costs 8.00 €.

*** School groups consist of at least five students and one teacher. Proof of teacher status must be provided in the form of a teacher ID card, or proof of student status must be provided in the form of a student ID card.

**** For truck and bus drivers upon presentation of corresponding proof (driver card and valid photo ID)

Children up to and including five years old receive free entry.

The purchase of a ticket on a business day also allows the holder to visit the IAA Conference and many other experiences at the IAA TRANSPORTATION.
