Ford Trucks International, together with Ford Pro, has unveiled the new long-haul heavy-duty F-MAX in its classic diesel version and the fully electric F-LINE E — the brand’s first series-production electric truck. The latter was already shown at IAA TRANSPORTATION, though performance data had not been released at the time.

The 6×2 model features an electric drivetrain delivering 310 kW continuous power and 390 kW peak power, along with 1,370 Nm of continuous torque and up to 2,470 Nm at peak. ZF was named last year as the supplier of the e-drive. The nickel-manganese-cobalt battery consists of four 98-kWh packs, providing a driving range of up to 300 kilometers.

A 4×2 configuration will also be available, offering 235 kW continuous power, 290 kW peak power, and a 294-kWh gross battery capacity, with an estimated range of 250 kilometers. Fast-charging capability for the 6×2 version is rated at up to 285 kW, while the 4×2 version supports up to 213 kW.

Renault Trucks has expanded its lineup of fully electric long-haul vehicles with the new E-Tech T 585 and E-Tech T 780. According to the manufacturer, the E-Tech T 585 will be equipped with a 585-kWh battery pack that enables a range of roughly 460 kilometers per charge.

The E-Tech T 780 raises the bar with a 780-kWh battery pack and a range of 600 kilometers. The extended range is achieved through the use of an electric axle that places the entire drivetrain — motors and transmission — at the rear of the vehicle.

Both models will support the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) with up to 720 kW charging power, enabling the replenishment of roughly 350 kilometers of range during a 45-minute break. Depot charging at up to 350 kW is also possible. Renault Trucks has additionally updated its current model, the E-Tech T 540 4×2, which will now offer a range of 450 kilometers on a single charge.

(c) Kia

Kia has unveiled the PV5 Chassis Cab — the brand’s first fully electric cab-chassis model within its commercial vehicle lineup. It marks the next step in Kia’s “Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV)” strategy.

Built on the modular E-GMP.S platform, the PV5 Chassis Cab can support payloads of up to 1,005 kilograms and offer up to 8 cubic meters of cargo volume, depending on configuration. A front-wheel-drive electric powertrain producing up to 120 kW (163 hp) is available. Two battery options will be offered at launch: approximately 51.5 kWh and a larger 71.2-kWh unit. The 71.2-kWh version achieves an estimated WLTP range of around 416 kilometers, with the potential for higher real-world performance under commercial operating conditions.

(c) Flexis Mobility

Flexis — the joint venture founded by Renault Group, Volvo Group, and CMA CGM — has introduced a new cross-brand fleet-management solution designed specifically for operators of light commercial vehicle fleets. The service combines real-time vehicle monitoring, charging-infrastructure management, and personalized support from dedicated “Fleet Advisors,” who conduct regular on-site visits to optimize fleet operations.

A key focus is the integration of charging processes: Flexis is partnering with Ampeco to develop a platform that links depot charging with vehicle telematics and fleet-management workflows. The company is also working with telematics specialist Geotab to integrate mixed fleets — including different brands and powertrain types — into a unified data environment.

(c) WattHub

At the Maasvlakte area of the Port of Rotterdam, WattHub — together with partners such as Kempower and Virta — has opened a new high-power charging facility dedicated to heavy-duty electric trucks. The site covers roughly 5,000 square meters and, in its first development phase, will offer 30 charging points rated at 400 kW each, plus five chargers rated at 250 kW.

The hub will operate 24/7 and is designed specifically for logistics and heavy-duty operations, featuring a reservation system and flexible pricing.
