Under the new agreement, TRATON will provide up to $25 million in dedicated Research and Development (R&D) funding. These funds will support the integration of Plus’s AI-based autonomous driving software, SuperDrive™, into the vehicle platforms of TRATON brands, including Scania, MAN, and International. This investment is specifically earmarked to drive factory integration, validation, and the industrial scaling of self-driving trucks.

A further pillar of the cooperation involves TRATON’s planned representation on the Plus Board of Directors, following the startup’s Nasdaq listing via a SPAC transaction. This move is designed to tighten strategic alignment between the OEM and the software company as they move toward commercial deployment.

TRATON views autonomous trucking as a cornerstone of its long-term technology roadmap, intended to maximize fleet uptime and deliver significant added value to logistics and transportation customers. This partnership builds on the collaboration launched in 2024, which established SuperDrive as the preferred autonomous platform for on-highway applications. Since then, the companies have launched autonomous fleet testing in Texas and successfully demonstrated Level 4-capable safety maneuvers.
