Top 5 Highlights of IAA Experience 2026

With IAA Test Drives, you can experience firsthand just how innovative and capable the commercial vehicle industry already is today. A total of 84 vehicles from 17 exhibitors are available for testing during this year’s Test Drives. The vast majority of vehicles offered will be fully electric, though hydrogen-powered vehicles and the latest low-emission diesel models will also be featured. The following exhibitors are offering Test Drives: Daimler Truck AG, Ford, Ford Trucks, Junge Fahrzeugbau, KIA, Maxus, MAN Truck & Bus, Phinia, SANY Truck, Renault Trucks, Scania, Superpanther, Tesla, Volkswagen, Volta Trucks, and Volvo Trucks.

Exhibitors MAN Truck & Bus and Volvo Trucks are introducing an innovative hall concept, offering test drives in Hall 11 directly from their booths. Here, attendees can test models like Volvo's FH Aero with a hydrogen combustion engine and the all-electric FH Aero Electric, which boasts a range of up to 700 kilometers (435 miles).

Halls 14/15 feature a large indoor departure terminal hosting 14 exhibitors, featuring vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a BE-Combi system and DAF's XG Electric.

For test drives outside the exhibition grounds, Daimler Trucks has set up dedicated departure points in Halls 19/20.

At the ADAS & Telematics demonstrations, five exhibitors—including Aptiv, Brightskies, MicroVision, Neolix, and Stellantis—will showcase a total of six vehicles. Along Expo Allee, you will gain insights into the latest developments in automated driving features. For the first time, driverless Robo Vans will also be presented. The live demos aim to highlight just how far automated driving technology has advanced in the commercial vehicle sector. As a passenger, you will also have the opportunity to experience these technologies firsthand. Anyone interested can request their desired demonstration directly at the exhibitors' booths, where staff members will guide you to the respective vehicles

Daimler Buses, MAN Truck & Bus, and BYD are providing even greater convenience on the exhibition grounds: with a total of six new vehicle models, the manufacturers are offering a complimentary shuttle service for you. Running continuously throughout the event on a loop between all halls and the outdoor area, the vehicles offer a comfortable and largely accessible way to navigate the entire trade fair center.

As part of the IAA Experience, moderated live demonstrations of megawatt charging will take place several times a day. At the Test Drives departure terminal in Hall 14/15, experience how modern electric trucks use megawatt charging to take on the energy they need for their journey in a matter of minutes. Expert moderators will explain the technology, its potential applications, and its importance for the transformation of the transportation sector.

The demonstrations are being conducted in cooperation with Milence, Daimler Truck, MAN, and the VDA, offering exclusive insights into the next generation of charging infrastructure and vehicle technology.
