Both new models leverage the same technology platform as the XF Electric, which, along with the XD Electric, was recently named "International Truck of the Year 2026." The electric drivetrain is powered by the PACCAR EX-D2 motor, delivering between 270 and 350 kW (370–480 hp). Paired with an integrated 3-speed transmission, the motor produces a maximum torque of 2,400 Nm (approx. 1,770 lb-ft).

A standout feature of the XG and XG⁺ Electric is their range of over 310 miles (500 kilometers) in optimal configurations. The modular battery sets can be equipped with three to five packs, which are distributed across the chassis depending on the specific application. With strategic charging and route planning, these trucks are capable of covering more than 620 miles (1,000 kilometers) in a single day of electric operation.

The XG and XG⁺ models are available as 4×2 tractors or 6×2 rigids with steered trailing axles. Like their sister models, they utilize LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, which contains no cobalt or nickel. This chemistry offers high thermal stability and allows for daily charging without sacrificing battery life. According to the manufacturer, a three-pack battery configuration can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 45 minutes.

While the new e-trucks are slated for mass production, official market launch or delivery dates have not yet been announced.
