The idea: As a leading platform, we want to spark new momentum. That’s why we foster cross-industry collaboration through connection and exchange between key players and emerging companies.

The space: Across approximately 700 m² of exhibition space, startups have the opportunity to present their innovations side by side with the industry’s market-leading companies and engage with international decision-makers.

The event: With our modern, open booth design, we create a professional setting for your company presentation. In addition, a variety of formats throughout the event will repeatedly spotlight the young companies, ensuring that every startup gets the visibility it deserves.

Terms for startups

Startups are defined as follows:

Company founded less than 10 years ago
Offers an innovative and scalable product, service, or technology
Must have a clear connection to mobility, transportation, or logistics
Companies that have been in existence for 10 years or more since founding are excluded from this offering

IAA startup activities

The first day of IAA TRANSPORTATION is traditionally reserved for members of the press. Participation on Press Day is mandatory for all exhibitors, including startups. To ensure that not only large companies benefit, we also invite startup-focused media outlets as well as industry journalists with an interest in startups to the Startup Area.

In addition, we are planning an educational press workshop for anyone interested (the exact topic will be announced at a later date).

As a startup with an S or L package, you receive 5 minutes of stage time to present yourself and your project. The prototype.club Stage is located at the heart of the Startup Area and is part of the official conference program featuring numerous well-known industry players. Stage time is included in the S & L package.

We are currently working on a Startup Wednesday. As soon as planning is complete, we will share more information.

Here is the current idea:

9:00 a.m. – Startup Breakfast
11:30 a.m. – Startup Tour I (industry, VCs, associations)
2:30 p.m. – Startup Tour II (industry, VCs, associations)
5:30 p.m. – Evening event in the Startup Area

A new format is currently in development. We’ll share an update as soon as we’re one step further along.

On Saturday, we are offering all exhibiting startups that are interested a photo shoot with a professional photographer. Have a professional portrait taken, showcase your achievements, and receive high-quality images that will support you on your journey ahead.

In addition, we are currently working on an IAA TRANSPORTATION interview series for startups.
