    Visitors to the IAA Startup Area can look forward to inspiring startups, bold ideas, and innovative technologies that are shaping the future of logistics and transportation with forward-looking solutions.

    The Startup Area in Hall 12 provides international startups with a platform to showcase their innovative solutions for the future of logistics and transportation to a distinguished audience of professional visitors.

    This year, more than 30 startups from 13 countries will present their innovations at IAA TRANSPORTATION. Visitors can explore a wide range of forward-looking technologies, including driver assistance systems, autonomous transportation solutions, intelligent charging management, and many other innovations.

    The showcased solutions demonstrate how digital technologies, artificial intelligence, automation, alternative powertrains, and new business models are transforming the transportation sector and shaping the logistics of tomorrow.

    Program Overview

    The Startup Area at IAA TRANSPORTATION brings together emerging technology companies with established manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, investors, and policymakers. This creates opportunities for new partnerships, collaborations, and investments.

    Direct exchange fosters technology transfer, opens up new perspectives, and strengthens the competitiveness of the entire transportation ecosystem. Visitors are welcome to stop by at any time, even outside the official Startup Program.

    One of the highlights of this year’s event is Startup Day on September 16. During guided Startup Tours, visitors will gain exclusive insights into selected startups and their innovations. The tours will be led by startup experts from Plug and Play, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with founders and explore the technologies shaping the future of freight transportation and logistics. Free registration is available through the ticket shop.

    Another key highlight follows in the afternoon: With the IAA Startup Award powered by Plug and Play, IAA TRANSPORTATION will recognize outstanding startups and their forward-looking solutions for the first time. The award honors exceptional innovation and highlights the vital role young companies play in driving the transformation of the industry. The award ceremony will take place on the prototype.club Stage at the center of the Startup Area.

    The day concludes with a Get-Together featuring beer and pretzels, hosted by Rethink Ventures. Open to all IAA TRANSPORTATION visitors, the event offers an ideal setting for networking, personal conversations, and exchanges between startups, industry representatives, investors, media, and other guests.

    The Hackathon, organized by prototype.club, has become a tradition across IAA events and is a key feature of the Startup Area. Working together with major corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises, prototype.club develops innovation formats and challenges designed to create new industry solutions and drive innovation. The Hackathon will take place throughout the day on Thursday, September 17, and invites startups and innovation teams to participate in a variety of ways. In principle, anyone can join, as individual participants will be assigned to a team.
