The bodywork manufacturer will use the event to showcase its latest major innovation: a new range of refrigerated bodywork devoted to Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) to address the challenges of the future of urban deliveries: limiting emissions (CO2 and pollutants), retaining the flexibility and performance of a refrigerated light commercial vehicle whilst increasing its payload, and improving user ergonomics and safety.
At its booth A42 in hall 27, Lecapitaine will showcase its new range of refrigerated bodywork, “URBAN by Lecapitaine”, devoted to LCVs. Designed to adapt to future chassis (alternative energies), it provides many practical solutions to the challenges of the energy transition.

With URBAN by Lecapitaine, you are guaranteed to a have refrigerated bodywork that is:

  • Environmentally friendly, guaranteeing up to 12% in energy savings (compared to traditional bodywork and based on the WLTP test procedure), thanks to a weight reduction of 300 kg, effective insulation with a k value of 0.31 and optimised aerodynamics.
  • High performance, with an optimum payload of up to 1,200 kg (depending on the vehicle configuration) to optimise urban deliveries.
  • And finally, undeniably urban, with a unique design, HD reversing camera, automated 100% LED working area lighting, built-in anti-intrusion central locking and a simple and secure door hold system.

This LECAPITAINE showcase of innovation contains a total of three patents: the sandwich panels (enhanced insulation, more resistant panels made from recycled materials), RigidLink (sub-frame designed to increase the payload), and SimpleLock (door hold system).
URBAN by Lecapitaine was awarded the Joseph Libner sustainable development prize at the Solutrans 2021 Trade Fair innovation awards. A distinction that acknowledges the environmental dimension of this new refrigerated bodywork.
