The United Kingdom has unveiled a massive funding package to accelerate the market rollout of electric trucks and vans. At its core is a £1 billion budget supporting initiatives like the "Zero Emission Truck and Van" program and the expansion of charging infrastructure through the "Depot Charging Scheme." Businesses can receive grants covering up to 40% of the cost of an electric truck (up to £81,000) and up to £5,000 for electric vans. Additionally, the charging program received a £170 million boost, allowing for subsidies of up to 70% of infrastructure costs. The initiative aims to lower investment barriers and significantly speed up the shift to zero-emission transport.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has updated the VW Caddy with a facelift designed to better serve both commercial and private customers. The high-roof van receives a modernized front end, along with new colors and wheel designs for a fresher aesthetic. Despite the visual updates, the Caddy stays true to its identity as a versatile all-rounder for work and family life. The interior also sees a focus on comfort and modularity, with improvements intended to enhance everyday usability and make the model more attractive for both professional fleets and household use.

Ford Pro is growing its electric portfolio with the introduction of the Ford Transit City, a compact e-van tailored for urban environments. The model will launch as a cargo van (available in L1H1 and L2H2 configurations) and, for the first time, as a single-cab chassis. Depending on the variant, the Transit City offers a payload of up to 2,810 lbs (1,275 kg), up to 282 cubic feet (8 m³) of cargo volume, and space for three Euro-pallets. A 110-kW electric motor paired with a 56-kWh LFP battery provides a range of up to 158 miles (254 km). Charging is handled via 87 kW DC (10–80% in approx. 33 minutes) or 11 kW AC, positioning the Transit City as an efficient solution for inner-city delivery and service fleets.
