Imbema, leading supplier of smart accessories for the delivery vehicle market, is presenting a smart detection system concept for the automatic ventilation of delivery vehicles at IAA TRANSPORTATION. This system improves the safety and efficiency of light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
The detection system continuously monitors air quality, temperature and humidity in the cargo area of delivery vehicles. Integrated sensors allow early detection of potential hazards, such as harmful gases (e.g. carbon monoxide or fuel vapours).
The system alerts the driver immediately with a visual alarm signal and, if necessary, automatically activates the roof fan to maintain air quality. This prevents hazardous situations and keeps the cargo in optimal condition.
The detection system ensures that the Easy Aero electric roof fan, developed in-house by Imbema, can be used even more efficiently. Using this system, the electric fan is only switched on when really needed, avoiding unnecessary energy consumption. This contributes to longer van battery life and reduces operational costs.
Adequate ventilation is also essential when safely transporting temperature and moisture-sensitive goods such as food, pharmaceuticals and electronics. Imbema's ventilation detection system continuously monitors the temperature and humidity in the cargo space of the delivery vehicle to prevent damage caused by heat, moisture or harmful gases. It also makes it more comfortable to work in the vehicle. This not only protects the cargo, but also ensures the safety and health of the driver.
Imbema understands the importance of complying with stringent safety regulations and standards within the transport sector. The detection system helps companies to observe these standards.
Temperature detection: Crucial when transporting temperature-sensitive goods (such as food, pharmaceuticals or electronics) to ensure that they stay within safe limits.
Humidity detection: Important to prevent moisture damage to delicate goods. Excessive humidity can lead to mould growth, corrosion or spoilage.
Gas detection: Sensors to detect potentially harmful gases (such as carbon monoxide, fuel vapours or chemical vapours) that could endanger the safety of the cargo or driver.
Meet Imbema at IAA Transportation: Come and see the ventilation detection system for yourself at IAA Transportation in Hanover. Imbema's experts will be happy to tell you all about it at stand F59 in hall 13.
