To safely manage these immense weights, the heavy-haul TGX is equipped with a suite of specialized components. These include a torque converter and clutch unit (WSK), a specialized transmission designed for extreme stress, and high-performance hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This technology enables the precision control and leveling required for heavy-haul trailers with 30 or more axles. The vehicle’s architecture is optimized to deliver high tractive effort at extremely low speeds while maintaining controlled maneuverability.

The new heavy-duty truck is offered as a complete factory solution through the MAN Individual division. The base vehicle is manufactured at the Munich plant before undergoing extensive customization at the MAN Truck Modification Center in Wittlich.

During the modification process, the unit receives heavy-haul hitches, reinforced cooling systems, and additional diesel and hydraulic tanks. The result is a specialized turnkey vehicle, fully optimized for heavy-haul operations and delivered directly from the factory.
