Milence, the joint venture between Daimler Truck, the TRATON GROUP, and the Volvo Group, is using a large-scale road test to prove that electric road freight transport in Europe is already both economically and operationally viable today. As part of the "Power to Go Further Tour," battery-electric heavy-duty trucks are traveling a 620-mile (1,000-kilometer) route from Paris to Berlin, relying exclusively on publicly accessible charging infrastructure.

The tour spans several countries and connects key charging hubs in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. Scheduled stops for charging include locations in Saint-Witz, Ghent, Zwolle, Mogendorf, and Kassel-Lohfelden. Through this initiative, Milence aims to demonstrate one of Europe’s first functioning cross-border electric transport corridors under real-world conditions.

Furthermore, the convoy is expected to grow as additional vehicles from leading transport companies join the tour along the way. This participation underscores the increasing market penetration of electric heavy-duty vehicles and the growing confidence in zero-emission solutions for the logistics industry. The tour receives broad support from premier commercial vehicle manufacturers, including Daimler Truck, MAN, Volvo Trucks, and Renault Trucks.
