    Focus on Electrification and Automated Driving

    According to Knorr-Bremse, the commercial vehicle industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by electrification, automated driving, and connectivity. Positioned as a development partner for vehicle manufacturers, the company is focusing on technologies that integrate flexibly into various vehicle architectures while simultaneously reducing complexity.

    New Products for Greater Efficiency and Safety

    Among the premieres is the oil-free, electrically driven Multi Tumble Piston (MTP) eCompressor, designed to enable an energy-efficient and low-noise compressed air supply. Additionally, Knorr-Bremse is showcasing the rGSBC redundant braking system, scheduled for series production in 2027. The system is engineered to ensure a highly available braking function even in the event of a fault, making it a key prerequisite for highly automated driving features.

    Also nearing market launch is the fully electric Electric Power Steering (EPS) system, which is designed to reduce the steering system’s energy consumption by up to 90 percent compared with conventional solutions through a power-on-demand approach.

    Four Core Technology Areas in Focus

    Knorr-Bremse is centering its presentation around four key themes:

    • Zero Emission: The company is displaying energy-efficient disc brakes from the SYNACT® family, the new MTP eCompressor, and technologies aimed at reducing brake dust and noise emissions.
    • Automated Driving: The focus is on redundant braking and steering systems that enable fail-operational vehicle control.
    • Road Safety: Knorr-Bremse is presenting advanced braking systems as well as driver assistance solutions, including Fusion Front and Side ADAS.
    • Digital Services: The portfolio is rounded out by the CVS Service Platform, which bundles digital services for fleets, repair shops, and dealers. These include multi-brand diagnostics, telematics, shop management, and cloud-based software solutions for trailers.

    This is also interesting
