The PV5 Crew Van is a key part of Kia’s "Made in Plant (MIP)" strategy, where vehicle modifications are performed directly on the assembly line. Developed in collaboration with conversion partners, this approach allows the brand to offer factory-integrated solutions with a high degree of customization. Production for the PV5 Crew Van is scheduled to begin on April 30, 2026, with the official market launch date to be announced at a later time.

Versatility at the Touch of a Lever

A "one-touch" seat lever system allows drivers to transform the PV5 from a two-seater cargo van into a five-seater crew vehicle within seconds. A single lever unlocks the backrest, tilts the seat cushion, and slides the partition wall simultaneously.

The interior is equipped with an airline rail system to secure cargo and attach various accessories, supporting a wide range of operational needs in industries such as construction, maintenance, landscaping, and airport services. Additional highlights include easily accessible 230-volt power outlets in the cargo area—powered by the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function—as well as a heavy-duty, non-slip floor to ensure safety during loading and unloading.

Technical Specifications and Performance

Technically, the PV5 Crew Van is built on the long-wheelbase PV5 Cargo and utilizes Kia’s E-GMP.S (Electric Global Modular Platform for Service). The cargo volume is highly flexible, offering 130.6 cubic feet (3.7 m³) in the two-seat configuration and 84.7 cubic feet (2.4 m³) as a five-seater. Accordingly, the load floor length varies between approximately 6.4 feet (1,965 mm) and 4.2 feet (1,278 mm). Equipped with a 51.5 kWh battery, the van is expected to provide a range of up to 175 miles (283 km) and is designed for a maximum payload of 1,378 lbs (625 kg).
