Kia will present its entire all-electric PV5 model family at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 in Hanover, showcasing the next phase of its "Platform Beyond Vehicle" (PBV) strategy. At the leading platform for transportation, logistics, and commercial vehicles, the brand will display various use cases for the PV5, demonstrating the platform's flexibility for a wide range of commercial applications.
The growing PBV portfolio includes the latest PV5 models, which will launch this year. With this broad lineup of flexible body styles, Kia aims to demonstrate the platform’s adaptability for diverse business applications at IAA TRANSPORTATION. The showcase includes the high-roof and short versions of the PV5 Cargo van (L2H2 and L1H1, respectively), the PV5 Chassis Cab, the seven-seat PV5 Passenger minibus, the wheelchair-accessible PV5 WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle), and a PV5 food truck.
The PV5 is based on the dedicated E-GMP.S (Electric Global Modular Platform for Service) EV platform. It brings the EV technology from Kia’s passenger car models into the commercial mobility sector, aiming to deliver reliable performance for demanding commercial applications. With the PV5 variants designed from the ground up as purely electric commercial vehicles, Kia focuses heavily on user-friendliness and efficiency under real-world operating conditions. Key features include a tight turning radius, low step-in and loading heights, and a modular body architecture that simplifies repairs, lowers costs, and reduces downtime.
