What does LIS AG stand for and what should every trade fair visitor definitely know about the company?

LIS Logistische Informationssysteme AG from Greven is one of the pioneers for standardized software solutions in the logistics industry, on which more than 26,500 users now rely. With our transport management software WinSped, we cover all processes from offer and order processing to scheduling, invoicing and controlling. With its modular structure and numerous interfaces, this tried-and-tested solution can be easily integrated into almost any environment.

What is the company's most important project for 2022/23?

Probably the most important project or rather product for 2022/23 is our new product, the cloud-based LIS Warehouse Management (LWM for short). Regardless of its industry, this new development is tailored in particular to European providers of third-party logistics (3PL) and organizes the internal material flow of their warehouses and distribution centers. Via the cloud, various processes such as incoming and outgoing goods, inventory and capacity management, or order picking can be viewed and flexibly controlled in real time using an end device connected to the Internet. With this new development, we want to offer our customers holistic solutions from a single source. The warehouse management software is available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), either fully integrated in the WinSped package or as a stand-alone system. Suitable interfaces and converters enable easy connection and integration into external IT landscapes. But we also want to further expand our LIS Cloud Services this year. Via the company's own data center, WinSped can also be operated location-independently via cloud as well as flexibly rented as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

The newly designed IAA TRANSPORTATION is a platform and meeting place for transport and logistics companies from all over the world. What makes the trade show so appealing to you?

All decision-makers and experts in the transport logistics industry come together at the IAA TRANSPORTATION, and the trade show has established itself as one of the most important for us. LIS is participating for the seventh time this year. I probably don't need to say more about it.

What can visitors to your stand look forward to in particular?

Visitors to the trade fair can particularly look forward to our new products and functions, such as the Workflow Manager, the Scripting Engine or our LIS Warehouse Management. But of course we will also show our proven modules like the Graphical Dispatching or the Automotive Center.

The coming years will be dominated by transformation. Where will the transport and logistics industry be in 2030 - and what milestones do you want to have achieved by then?

Topics such as mobile working and data and cyber security will become increasingly important in the future. But even the last two years in the home office have shown how relevant modern IT structures are. Cloud solutions enable (logistics) companies to act flexibly and independently. This makes them more resilient to such external influences as a pandemic. Therefore, we would like to focus on the further expansion of our LIS Cloud Services.
