The strategy marks a shift from traditional maintenance toward a holistic approach, as the manufacturer increasingly evolves into a provider of comprehensive service ecosystems. This model supports customers throughout the entire lifecycle, from vehicle selection and infrastructure planning to ongoing daily operations. A central pillar of this strategy is the expansion of services related to charging infrastructure. Among the new features is a specialized hotline for charging stations, available in eight languages, which is designed to resolve approximately 85 percent of service issues via remote access. This digital support is complemented by a nationwide service team of trained electricians available for on-site assistance.

Furthermore, Daimler Buses is offering to take over the planning, construction, and management of charging infrastructure directly at customer depots. This "Charging-as-a-Service" model increasingly positions the manufacturer as a charging park operator. In parallel, Daimler Buses continues to advance its digital services, with approximately 50,000 vehicles already connected across Europe. All new vehicles now come equipped with standard connectivity as a factory feature.
For the first time, the company is also introducing over-the-air updates for buses in Europe, allowing software updates to be performed without a visit to the workshop. Additional digital services enable the monitoring of wear-and-tear parts, vehicle tracking, and the detailed analysis of consumption and operational data. Through the Omniplus Charge sub-brand, Daimler Buses is specifically expanding its portfolio to include infrastructure services. Together with its subsidiary, Daimler Buses Solutions, the company realizes projects ranging from initial feasibility studies to turnkey implementation. Since its launch, more than 70 projects have already been successfully secured. Additionally, the company announced that it will soon begin test drives of its "eCoach," a battery-electric touring coach serving as a key technology demonstrator.
