At this station, electric truck batteries can be swapped or charged in just a few minutes. The charging process is optimized using artificial intelligence and paired with an additional range of services. This tailored charging solution allows for better monitoring of the vehicles and their batteries, helping to preserve their value. Currently, more than 100 trucks are reported to use the facility daily.
With its "Battery in the Cloud" solution, Bosch provides the technical foundation for these services. The software calculates the exact State of Health (SoH) of the drivetrain battery, predicts its future condition, and helps optimize the charging process.
Furthermore, the collected charging data will be used to improve aftermarket services, such as connected insurance, vehicle and battery maintenance, and servicing. Bosch and Mitsubishi have been collaborating on this initiative since 2019, and an initial test run of the services has already been successfully completed.
