Four Technology Fields for the Transport of Tomorrow
At its trade booth and in the outdoor area, AUMOVIO is demonstrating how individual technologies are combined into integrated system solutions. The main emphasis is on solutions designed to improve cost-effectiveness, scalability, and practical deployment in fleet operations. According to the company, connected technologies are intended to address rising costs, driver shortages, regulatory requirements, and the electrification of transport.
VDO Ecosystem Connects Fleet Processes
In the efficiency category, AUMOVIO is presenting the VDO Ecosystem. Via VDO Link, the tachograph, fleet services, and tolling solutions are interconnected. This setup is designed to process driving data automatically, reduce manual administrative effort, and integrate statutory compliance requirements more efficiently into daily fleet operations. The goal is to improve data quality, cost control, and operational workflows.
Focus on Software-Defined Commercial Vehicles
For software-defined commercial vehicles, AUMOVIO is presenting an integrated approach comprising hardware, software, and digital services. The portfolio includes high-performance computers, connectivity solutions, and over-the-air capabilities intended to enable manufacturers to achieve shorter development cycles and integrate new vehicle features more easily.
Partnership with Aurora for Autonomous Trucks
Another key focus is the collaboration with Aurora. Together, the two companies are developing a scalable autonomous driving system for commercial vehicles that is scheduled for commercial deployment on U.S. highways starting in 2027. The system is based on a modular hardware kit from AUMOVIO for the Aurora Driver and includes radar and camera sensors, high-performance computers, electronic control units, telematics, and a redundant safety system. In addition, AUMOVIO is responsible for the system integration, industrialization, manufacturing, and validation of the solution.
Solutions for Commercial Vehicle Electrification
AUMOVIO is also showcasing a comprehensive portfolio in the electromobility segment. This includes battery management systems, cell contacting systems, DC/DC converters, as well as software and integration services for vehicle manufacturers. Under the VDO brand, the company is also presenting charging solutions for fleet depots and applications for monitoring battery charging processes via the VDO Fleet Cloud. The objective is to optimize the range, availability, and operating costs of electric commercial vehicles.
