IAA Plug & Play Campus

A well-developed and functional infrastructure is the backbone of any mobility concept. For this reason, the IAA TRANSPORTATION is placing a special focus on infrastructural topics this year. The core of this new content orientation is the Plug and Play Campus.

A well-developed and functional infrastructure is the backbone of any mobility concept. For this reason, the IAA TRANSPORTATION is placing a special focus on infrastructural topics this year. The core of this new content orientation is the Plug and Play Campus.

The Plug and Play Campus consists primarily of a street backdrop, realistically recreated with a demonstration area directly connected to the new indoor departure terminal. Here, future solutions from the infrastructure sector are already becoming reality. These include DC, HPC and induction solutions as well as software for paying for charging, 5G connectivity with and between vehicles, or ideas for the gas station of the future. In addition, the advantages of hydrogen as a fossil-free fuel will be demonstrated at the IAA TRANSPORTATION.

The demonstration areas are located directly at the new indoor departure terminal and are integrated into the street backdrop there. Test drivers traveling on the route can thus approach the Plug and Play Campus without detours and test the use cases under real conditions.
