Load securing: Practical experience for practical benefit
Every day, around 10 million tons of goods are transported on German roads: fast, efficient, on-time, door-to-door and eco-friendly. In order to implement this safely and reliably, adequate securing of the load is essential. Inadequate or even missing load securing can cause avoidable accidents, in which people are endangered and vehicle are damaged, and the load are destroyed. In addition, improper or missing load securing in the event of an accident can contribute to higher severity of damage. Therefore, ensuring adequate load securing and its continuous improvement is a key issue for everyone involved.
At the upcoming 68th IAA Transportation in 2022 the joint event "Load securing: Practical experience for practical benefit ", which has been organized by the Federal Association of Road Haulage, Logistics and Waste Disposal (BGL) and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) since 2002, once again focuses on the high priority of load securing for transport companies and the manufacturers of vehicles, trailers and bodies. The application of the latest methods for securing and loading goods on vehicles is an important contribution to quality assurance in transport companies and road safety.
