IAA in general

The IAA Commercial Vehicles is expanding its concept and, as the IAA TRANSPORTATION, will become the leading international platform for logistics, commercial vehicles, buses and the transport sector.  Under the motto "People and Goods on the move," the new IAA TRANSPORTATION will take place from September 20 to 25, 2022, at the Deutsche Messe AG grounds in Hanover.  With an expanded event concept, it will for the first time network the relevant players from the commercial vehicles, buses and logistics sectors with leading tech providers as well as suppliers. An important goal of the new concept is to be the first international platform in the transport sector to increasingly focus on the climate-neutral and technological transformation of the entire transport sector.

IAA TRANSPORTATION will take place from September 20 to 25, 2022, at the Deutsche Messe AG exhibition grounds in Hannover, Germany.

The press days will take place on September 19 and 20, 2022.

Plan your visit

In general, you are allowed to bring bags and luggage onto the fairgrounds. However, we recommend you to arrive with as little luggage as possible or to leave it at the cloakrooms in the entrances for a service fee.

According to the Usage and House Rules animals of all types are prohibited from entering the fairgrounds. Exceptions can be made for assistance dogs, guide dogs and service dogx, as long as they have put on a muzzle and a certificate of proof can be shown.

Hygiene and Security Concept (COVID-19)

"Please keep your distance" still applies. It is recommended to keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between two people who do not belong to the same household.

A rapid test or proof of vaccination are not mandatory according to the current official requirements. A rapid test center is available for you on the fairgrounds.

No. According to the current status, there is a recommendation to wear a certified FFP2 Mask or KN95 Mask. We recommend that you wear the mask where a minimum distance of 1.5 meters is not guaranteed. In adition it is compulsory to wear a mask in local public transport, during test drives and in the shuttle buses on the exhibition grounds.

Modern ventilation systems ensure regular air exchange in the halls on the Deutsche Messe site in Hanover. The quality of the newly introduced air corresponds to the outside air in the outdoor area.

We enable all visitors to practice regular and adequate hand hygiene. During the IAA TRANSPORTATION, all sanitary areas are cleaned at high frequency. Sufficient disinfectant dispensers are available in the entrance areas and in the toilets.
