IAA Voices: Interview with Quantron AG

Quantron AG uses the best technologies to develop clean and responsible mobility solutions that have a positive impact on the entire value chain. With its battery and hydrogen electric mobility solutions, Quantron offers its customers a path to zero-emission mobility - both through its own new vehicles and through the conversion of used and existing vehicles such as trucks, buses and vans from 3.49-44 tons GVW.

What does Quantron AG stand for and what should every trade fair visitor definitely know about the company?

Our vision is to decarbonize freight and passenger transportation. To this end, we offer a comprehensive platform for zero-emission mobility solutions - both fully electric and with green hydrogen fuel cell drive. Our range of services is based firstly on the conversion of existing vehicles from diesel to zero-emission drive systems, and secondly on offering our own environmentally friendly commercial vehicles under the QUANTRON brand. In addition, we support our customers in all matters relating to e-mobility, for example with advice on charging infrastructure or financing and leasing offers. We bundle this in our zero-emission solutions platform offering under the name Quantron-as-a-Service (QaaS).

What is the company's most important project for 2022/23?

Quantron AG is currently experiencing exceptional growth. With our all-electric Cizaris city bus, we are now also an OEM. In the coming months, we will be launching more of our own QUANTRON brand vehicles, not only as BEVs but also as FCEVs. To this end, we are currently working with our partner Ballard Power Systems on the development of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles for environmentally friendly long-distance transportation. In a second step, we want to realize the production of green hydrogen and electricity as a platform for H2 solutions in the future and offer Quantron filling stations with zero-emission charging solutions. In addition, as a company we plan to expand further globally and have accomplished this with our partnerships in China and our Quantron USA subsidiary.

The newly designed IAA TRANSPORTATION is a platform and meeting place for transport and logistics companies from all over the world. What makes the trade show so appealing to you?

Quantron AG has a broad portfolio of zero-emission mobility solutions and services for various application areas in logistics and passenger and freight transport. As a globally oriented company, IAA TRANSPORTATION offers us the opportunity to present our extensive range to an international clientele.

What can visitors to your stand look forward to in particular?

This year's IAA TRANSPORTATION motto "People and Goods on the move" more than perfectly matches the products and highlights we will be presenting at our booth. Quantron stands for the core values Reliable, Energetic and Brave and for zero-emission-solutions. We invite visitors to immerse themselves in the Quantron world and learn more about the company's development, its transformation from spin-off to OEM and, of course, its product portfolio. Hydrogen-powered vehicles will play an even greater role in the field of e-mobility in the future. We have recognized this and will present a broad portfolio of FCEV vehicles.

The coming years will be dominated by transformation. Where will the transport and logistics industry be in 2030 - and what milestones do you want to have achieved by then?

To achieve the climate targets set, significantly more zero-emission vehicles must be on the roads by 2030. The transport and logistics sector in particular is responsible for a significant proportion of CO2 emissions in daily road traffic. With our environmentally friendly commercial vehicles focusing on heavy trucks and city buses, both as battery-electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell-powered, we are making our contribution to a greener and more sustainable future.
