Oliver Sindermann: We are pleased to be there again this year and to present our Goodyear Total Mobility concept. 2022 is all about mobility solutions for truck fleets and therefore the IAA Transportation is directly linked to this year's "Drive Results”Tour. Goodyear supports and helps shapingthe mobility of the future. With our participation, we hope to welcomemany interested visitors, whowe can support with our solutions in a challenging economic environment

What contribution can commercial vehicle tires make to the transition to electro-mobility?

Electric vehicles have different requirements for tires than vehicles with combustion engines. The tires must help to increase the range between charges while representing traction.

Therefore, it is essential to achieve an optimal compromise between rolling resistance and traction. In addition, the tires are exposed to a significantly higher load due to the high torque and heavy batteries in electric vehicles. The requirements for the durability of the tires are therefore significantly higher.

A low-wear profile rib technology, abrasion-resistant tread compounds and optimized tire carcasses increase the range. An example of this is the Goodyear KMAX GEN-2, which creates this balance and can thus support the entry of truck fleets into electromobility.
