Historic narrow lanes, remote residential areas and crowded pedestrian zones make it more difficult to deliver to the inner cities smoothly and on time. In 2019 alone, around 3.65 billion packages were delivered across Germany, which was more than twelve million per working day. And the number continues to rise.
Discuss about innovative last mile solutions
Delivery vehicles from the various service providers have become a dominant feature of the cityscape in many places. This is not without consequences. Not only the climate suffers from the increasing volume of vehicles, but also the flow of traffic. Innovative solutions for last-mile transportation are therefore more in demand than ever. The IAA Transportation offers logistics companies and suppliers the perfect stage for presenting their innovations and trends on the road to efficient and climate-neutral logistics with the IAA Last Mile Area specially set up on the exhibition grounds.
